Drink like a Kardashian as Kendall Jenner's tequila launches in UK supermarket
The Kardashian Jenner family have launched seemingly countless businesses - when it comes to fashion and beauty they're names we all know. One that is often seen broadcasted across the sister's social media channels is supermodel Kendall Jenner's tequila brand 818.
Named after the Calabasas area code the spirit encompasses that KarJenner energy. Now one of the bottles is available to buy in Tesco, the first UK supermarket to stock 818 Tequila.
The bottle you can pick up while doing your food shop is 818 Tequila Blanco. It's made from 100% Blue Weber Agave and boasts flavours of agave and vanilla, complemented by undertones of tropical and citrus fruit.
Kendall, and her momager Kris Jenner, have released videos whipping up cocktails with the three main tequilas available from the range. If you want to drink like a Kardashian it's never been easier.
Over on TequilaMatchmaker.com, tequila aficionados have been sharing their opinions on 818 Tequila Blanco and it's clear that this is one of the sweeter options on the market. It's been suggested it's a great option if you're looking for an introduction to tequila if your main experience of the spirit is cheap shots at a bar.

One fan said: "Smells like angel food cake, I’m getting some agave but mostly vanilla and caramelized sugar. Taste isn’t a huge departure from the smell, this is definitely on the sweet side of things. I would say the closest comparison I could make is biscotti, that almond is really coming through."
A second penned: "Lots of vanilla in the aroma here (a lot!!), but still retains that signature Cofradia green vegetal aroma. Flavour is super sweet, cinnamon, and vanilla. This flavour profile is designed for people who don’t like tequila.
A third wrote: "I kept an open mind when opening this bottle of 818 Blanco. This is a remarkable Blanco Tequila. While I’m not one to express tequila nuisances, I know what tastes exceptional. The 818 Blanco Tequila is an exceptional tequila and a welcome addition to my collection."
Brandon Hemmings, Assistant Buyer for Spirits at Tesco says “Tequila is really on trend right now, and in 2023 Tesco sold over 1.2 million bottles of it – a 28% increase year on year. 818 is one of the brands that’s helped to develop a new generation of tequila fans, but up until now it’s only been available in a select number of high-end stores in the UK.
"I’m really pleased that we’re now bringing the multi-award-winning spirit to Tesco stores nationwide, to help customers looking to explore and enjoy the agave-based spirit category.”
The celebrity tequila is also available at Selfridges, although it does cost just shy of £11 more there. You can also get it on Laithwaites and Master of Malt - which is where we've found the cheapest price. At Tesco it costs £43 a bottle, but it is being called a sipping drink so it should last a long time.
There are other tequilas on the market with notes of vanilla, such as Ambhar Tequila Reposado, but they aren't linked to the Kardashian family.
