Bobby Brazier makes cryptic remark about romance after secret dates with Ellie
Bobby Brazier has said he "doesn't deal" with romance rumours after it was revealed he's been on secret dates with a Strictly co-star.
The EastEnders actor, 20, was paired with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, 34, for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing. They quickly sparked romance rumours thanks to their close bond during the competition. Bobby recently added more fuel to the fire as he told Dianne "I love you" and admitted their relationship has been the most intense he's ever had.
However, Dianne is happily in a long-term relationship with YouTuber Joe Sugg after they met on the BBC dance show. Bobby is also said to be in a relationship with fashion consultant Boadecia Evans following his on-off relationship with model Liberty Love. Yet their love lives didn't stop speculation swirling that the pair were set to fall foul of the so-called Strictly curse.
More recently, Bobby has enjoyed a string of secret dates with Coronation Street star Ellie Leach, who he competed against in Strictly but lost to in the final.
When asked by The Mirror how they dealt with the intense romance rumours, Bobby admitted: “I don't really deal with it. She is my partner. As long as she is okay and as long as Joe is okay, then I don’t really care." Dianne added: "We have just been such good friends from the beginning, we have always thought we want to be ourselves. There’s always going to be rumours on Strictly isn’t there."
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessBobby and Dianne narrowly missed out on the Glitterball Trophy as Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola secured the top spot. However they have reunited with each other for the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour. Ahead of their live shows, Bobby declared Dianne was the "love of his life".
The actor took to TikTok to declare: "As you all know, Dianne is the love of my life. So this morning, I'm baking her some carrot muffins that she fancies." He then showed a brief clip of him pushing a cart through the aisles of Waitrose. The clip ended with Dianne and the crew trying his homemade muffins, which she called "very, very good."
Refusing to hide their platonic affection for each other, after learning they'd made it to the final Bobby turned to Dianne and whispered: "I love you so much." The ballroom and Latin dancer appeared to reciprocate the affection by telling him she loved him too. In another interview, the BBC soap star admitted his partnership with Dianne had been one of a kind for him. "I've never had a relationship like this before," he revealed.
"Like, as far as any kind of relationship with someone goes, this is the most intense, unique relationship I've ever, ever had. Seven weeks with someone every day. Dancing, moaning, laughing. Fuming, joyous - just like in the space of half an hour, by the way! It’s crazy but it's lovely."
They had also teased a romance to Strictly fans at the end of their Argentine Tango when they almost kissed. Defending their routines, Dianne said on Good Morning Britain: "We obviously did the dance the correct way! If people are saying [we're romantic with each other], then we did a good job with it." Bobby added: "The story and the intensity and the emotion of it, I loved. Listen, I am ready to turn it all the way up! I enjoy it!"
