Ruby Wax looks unrecognisable in a new video clip during which she goes make-up-free in a plunging swimsuit before taking a dip in the sea while showing off her figure.

The American-born actress and comedian, 70, took to social media today to share a chatty video clip as she took a dip in the ocean while on holiday in Cape Town. Wearing a plunging black swimsuit, Ruby displayed her curves and makeup-free beauty as she dipped in the freezing cold water.

Speaking to the camera, Ruby said: "This is where I go swimming everyday and it's freezing. You freeze your a*** off but supposedly it wards off depression. I'm the living case of that."

She added: "This is where I go, there is the beach and then I take a shower here and I always change where everybody can see me because I think if you've got it flaunt it."

Giving her fans a closer look at the plunging swimsuit she donned, Ruby added: "So this is me in a swimsuit, let me suck it in, there we go...I'm never going to show it again. That's it, that's what I do in the morning."

Ruby captioned the video clip, which was shared onto her Instagram grid to her 153,000 followers, with: "You know what they say. If you've got it, flaunt it."

Fans were quick flock to the comments to flood the red-haired beauty with compliments. One person penned: "Stop downing yourself, you've got an amazing figure. Honestly, who cares anyway, you're fabulously funny, beautiful, and kind. What's not to love, eh?"

Someone else then added: "You've definitely got it." While a third penned: "You look amazing. Keep doing whatever you're doing." And a fourth wrote: "Fab figure! Keep on with the morning dips. Great stuff!!"

Ruby is best known for being a comedian but is also known for being a classically-trained actress who was with the Royal Shakespeare Company for five years. She is also famous for having co-starred on the ITV sitcom Girls on Top from 1985 to 1986.

The starlet, who is currently holidaying in Cape Town, holds both American and British citizenship and has resided in the United Kingdom since the 1970s.
