Cadbury is marking the end of January in the best possible way. The confectionery company has announced a sweet new twist on one of their most popular items - and fans can't wait to get their hands on them.

Cadbury's makes some of the nation's best-loved treats, from Dairy Milk and Twirls to Creme Eggs and Roses.

High up on that list are their Chocolate Buttons - and it's these that have been given a revamp. Fans will now be able to pick up Mega White Chocolate Buttons, which are now available to buy in Asda.

One happy shopper took to Instagram to celebrate after spotting a pack in her local store. Alongside a photo of her purchase, which she shared on the treatsinstore page, the customer wrote: "NEW Cadbury White Mega Buttons (UK)Out now!! Spotted in @asda.

"Two Cadbury White products in one day? Hopefully 2024 will be the year Cadbury finally gives white chocolate a big push."

The other product being referred to is the Cadbury White Oreo Eggs, which recently went back on sale in the supermarket, to the great excitement of fans.

But not everyone has been happy with the company recently. Cadbury came under fire after people spotted a change to a much-loved treat - and in response, assured customers it had been a "last resort".

Mini Eggs have long been popular with chocolate fans - and they are now reappearing on shelves ahead of Easter. But the product has suffered a significant price increase over the years - and now Cadbury has spoken out about the hike.

One chocolate fan took to X, formerly known as , to fume about the price increase of the eggs and said: "Having to take out a loan to buy a bag of Mini Eggs what are these prices."

In response, the official Cadbury UK page shared why they have gone up in price. Mini Eggs were originally £1 across , but have increased by 25p in stores such as , , , and to £1.25. This also includes the popular 110g Mini Eggs Bar which was £1 and is now £1.25 and the small Mini Eggs carton which was 50p and is now 60p.

The Cadbury team said: "Making changes to the price of our products is always a last resort, however, costs across our supply chain have risen steeply. Core ingredients we heavily rely on, like cocoa and sugar are a lot more expensive, while the cost of energy, packaging, and transport also remain high."
