Cheltenham Festival 2024: How to get tickets, prices and race times
The Cheltenham Festival will be getting underway in March and race fans can get their tickets now.
It's known as one of the biggest events in the racing world and over four days, 28 races will take place amidst much drama. However the event's main attraction is the Gold Cup which takes place on the Friday of the event. It's expected to be a hotly contested meet once again with 2024 contenders for the Gold Cup including last year's champion Galopin Des Champs, Shiskin and King George winner Hewick.
The gates open at 10:30am on each of the four days of the festival with the first race kicking off at 13:30pm and the last race coming in at 17:30pm. So with one of the biggest race events in the world coming up, let's take a look at what you need to know to attend, what is happening on each day and how you catch the action on TV.
When is the Cheltenham Festival 2024?
This year's festival is set to run for four days and It will start on Tuesday, March 12 and wrap up on Friday, March 15. Proceedings will kick-off Champion Day.
Wednesday will be Ladies Day, which will feature several races starting in the afternoon. Thursday is known as St Patrick’s Day, which will feature several races, and then on the final day the festival will hold the Gold Cup.

How much do tickets cost?
Ticket prices for the festival vary depending on what day you go and what section you choose to be in. For the first three days Tattersalls tickets from £74 and £89 on Gold Cup Day. Club Enclosure tickets range from £107-£126 depending on the day you go and the Best Mate enclosure ranges from £50-£70. There are also a number of hospitality and other tickets available.

Can I watch it on TV?
The action will be shown live on ITV, with extensive coverage of the main races on free to air TV on ITV 1 as well as a live stream available on the ITV X platform. Racing TV provides full coverage and is available through Sky and Virgin Media.
