Gemma Collins 'disgusts' fans with 'unhygienic' video of her dog at restaurant

Gemma Collins left fans appalled after letting her dog guzzle a plate of food at the table at a trendy restaurant.

The TV star allowed her hungry pet Blue to wolf down scrambled eggs and sausage as she joined pop pair Jedward for brunch on Monday. Gemma recorded the moment when the pup chowed down and was heard saying: "Are you a Hampstead dog now? Are you my Hampstead doggie?"

The GC thought her followers would love the clip when she uploaded the recording to Instagram but many weren't impressed that the animal was allowed to join them for their meal. She was called "disgusting" after fans watched her whippet gobbling up the grub before she tucked into her smoked salmon, avocado and scrambled eggs moments later.

She clearly wants to eat with Blue more often and the TOWIE legend captioned the clip: "The LOVE for dogs! in Hampstead is next level the joy and happiness they bring to our lives. Why doesn’t everywhere become more doggie friendly this would be fabulous please let me know all the dog friendly places please."

The post didn't get the reaction she was hoping for. "OMG Gemma I am really sorry but that’s disgusting. It’s so unhygienic," said one person, also including a puke emoji. A second person told the reality star: "That's disgusting, I would never let my dog do that to my own plates, never mind in public!"

Another made their point to Gemma by saying: "And to think even though that plate is washed why would you want to use it after a dog has licked it all over (disgusting)." She didn't respond to any of the comments following the backlash but didn't delete the clip from her feed.

Some were quick to stick up for her and one follower wrote: "Oh my goodness! That is amazing. Our local pub is very dog friendly and Duke is having his 14th birthday party there on Sunday. Dogs make the world a better place." Blue has previously stayed in The Savoy hotel with her and she says it breaks her heart to leave him at home.

Gemma has had Blue since September and excitedly announced she is now an "official dog mummy" two months after the death of her family dog of 15 years. She said after the sad news: "Beyond heartbroken today, our beautiful Lucia sadly had to be put down. Nothing could save her, she was the best dog ever to our family for the last 15 years, my dad's best friend."
