Stacey Solomon announces huge moment in career as she poses with DIY legend
Stacey Solomon has teamed up with Dulux for her latest role, which has been described as a "natural extension" of her passion for renovation projects and the like.
The 34-year-old presenter - who is known for sharing DIY tips with her followers on social media - has been unveiled as the ambassador for the brand's latest Dulux Colour of the Year. It's been teased that she's "preparing to paint the town pink".
She's set to showcase the brand's shade Sweet Embrace™ in projects throughout the year. Dulux has said that she will show how its "most fashionable colour" can be used to "create a sense of belonging and comfort" in the home.
Sweet Embrace™ - which has been named as this year's Dulux Colour of the Year - is described as "a delicate, welcoming pale pink". The colour is said to offer "softness and stability," while Stacey's referred to it as "gorgeous".
It's been stated that her new role as Dulux Colour of the Year 2024 Ambassador is a "natural extension of her passion for spreading joy through interiors". They were curated by Dulux to give people "confidence in choosing colour combinations when transforming their rooms into unique, personal spaces".
Stacey - who's posed alongside the famous Dulux dog for the campaign - said: "Paint is such a powerful tool in creating a home with a whole new atmosphere. As soon as you start putting paint on the wall and seeing your space transform, it can change so much about how you use and feel about where you live."
The Loose Women panellist continued by discussing the colour itself. She commented: "Sweet Embrace is such a gorgeous colour. It's a shade of pink, which for some can ring alarm bells but it's actually more of a soft neutral."
She added: "For people who want to get more experimental with colour in their home, it's a great starting point because you can brighten it up or tone it down by using complementary colours. I'm excited to be partnering with Dulux because it means we can help show people that DIY and decorating is easier than they think!"
Marianne Shillingford, Creative Director at Dulux, said: "We're thrilled to be teaming up with Stacey and for her to help us spread the love for Sweet Embrace™ far and wide. Stacey's enthusiasm for DIY and towards Dulux has really shone through since we have immersed her into the world of the Colour of the Year 2024 - the process behind choosing it, how to use it to and its ability to positively impact the way you feel in your home.
"It has been fantastic to witness Stacey's creativity and passion for creating comforting interiors - both to the millions through her social channels, and in our one-on-one conversations. These qualities make her the perfect person to champion a colour that can really help you feel at home in your own space again."
