Newcastle stages a seven-race card on Monday with Newsboy's Nap, Eagle's Realm, running in the opener at 3.50

EAGLE’S REALM is fancied to rack up a four-timer by carrying top weight to victory in the opening BetUK. Home Of The Acca-Fenwa Handicap (3.50) at Newcastle today.

Trained in tandem by David Killahena and Graeme McPherson, the son of Free Eagle enjoyed a first all-weather Flat win at the 14th attempt when beating Doublethetrouble by three-quarters of a length over a mile and three-quarters at Wolverhampton in October.

With that landmark success under his belt, Eagle’s Realm, a two-time scorer over hurdles, doubled up in an apprentice handicap over this course and distance the following month, holding Show No Fear by a length and a quarter.

And the hat-trick was completed back over a mile and six at Southwell nine days later, when the six-year-old took advantage of racing from an unchanged handicap mark to account for Kiss My Face by half a length.

A 2lb higher rating of 63 looks well within reach for Jack Mitchell’s mount, who gets a confident vote to extend his winning streak.
