Flat goes up for rent with no living room and a shower attached to the kitchen
Brits who wish to keep one eye on the stove while also taking a quick shower may have now found the property of their dreams.
The “peaceful” London studio flat went up for rent, with a very unique feature - a shower attached to a kitchenette. The rental property in Noel Park, London - dubbed “excellent value for money” on the listing - also features a bed just inches away from the kitchen sink.
It means you must eat, sleep, and shower all in the same room - however the flat does come with the small grace of an en-suite toilet separate to the rest of the room. On top of this, the "property" also has no living room - but there it does feature a single chair, crammed in next to the wardrobe.
Other "perks" of the "fully-furnished flat" include a washing machine and garden access. However the rent remains fairly low by the UK capital’s pricing standards - coming in at just £899 a month and includes gas and electric plus Wi-Fi. However, the water and council tax bills are not included.
The listing, featured on OpenRent, also stresses that the flat is a “peaceful, quiet, tranquil residence”, adding: “This property is a MUST SEE that will rent very quickly". The property is based in the north London borough of Haringey, located behind Wood Green Shopping Centre. with Wood Green Tube Station a five-minute walk away.
London flat for rent for £1,400 a month with bed tucked away in kitchen cupboardHighlighting the ultra competitive London rental market, at the time of publication of this article, the "self contained" property has been rented. A message on the website reads: "This OpenRent Property Is No Longer Available For Rent. It comes after the Mirror last month reported on another "bargain" London property - a single room, with a bed at one end, a kitchen at the other and a shower and toilet in the middle - for £1,630 per month.
The tiny flat, dubbed a “mini studio” in the listing, featured the toilet, sink and shower all crammed inside a glass shower cubicle at the foot of the bed. The property is for rent by landlord Michelle L near Hyde Park in London. The room is above a Cantonese food restaurant and someone in the neighbourhood has a Ferrari they park right outside.
