Tommy Fleetwood and Tyrell Hatton have both played down their chances of joining Ryder Cup teammate, Jon Rahm at LIV Golf.

Fleetwood and Hatton were both said to be on the radar of the breakaway league, with LIV bosses looking to complete their roster for 2024. Per the Telegraph, Fleetwood opted to turn down a deal with the breakaway league, who then turned their attention to Hatton.

On the back of the report linking the Englishman to the breakaway league, Fleetwood confirmed there had been an offer on the table to follow in the footsteps of Masters champion, Rahm.

"I think people have been getting approached for a long, long time," he said at this week's Dubai Desert Classic. "So I don’t think it is like flash news that people are still getting approached by LIV. "“You know, some people will go and some people won’t.

"And then at some point we’ll either all play together or we won’t. Like everybody else, I’ll wait to find out. I’ll speak for myself as a professional golfer and still someone who is still chasing my childhood dreams and still trying to be the best golfer I can be.

"Until I decide I’ve had enough or retire, I’ll always be doing what I think is best for my golf game and, at the moment, that’s what I am doing. Who knows if that changes in the future. But, for now, that’s where I feel I want to be.”

Hatton too addressed his LIV Golf offer whilst competing at Emirates Golf Club, although he did leave room for the possibility of a change in circumstances.

"I’d say there’s several people who have had conversations,” Hatton claimed. “I think that’s part and parcel of golf at the moment." Despite conversations with the LIV setup, it appears for now at least, Hatton has opted to remain loyal to the DP World Tour and PGA Tour.

"I’m quite happy playing the PGA Tour and DP World Tour," asked if this meant he would not be leaving the two circuits, he added: "As of right now, yeah.” Following Rahm's mega-money move last month, it appeared that LIV were ready to welcome a second wave of big names ahead of the 2024 campaign.

But with the season opener in Mexico less than two weeks away, nobody has followed in Rahm's footsteps yet, with the Spaniard still yet to officially announce his team. Numerous reports have suggested the franchise led by Rahm will be named 'Legion XIII'.

When it comes to teammates, recently promoted star Kieran Vincent is rumoured to be joining Rahm, with amateur star Caleb Surratt also linked. Rahm himself will no doubt be keen to officially sign off his team, with the trip to Mayakoba right around the corner.
