Alice Evans' doomed romance with Ioan Gruffudd as he gets engaged again
Ioan Gruffudd and ex-wife Alice Evans split up in early 2021 and the actress refused to hold back and detailed every part of their toxic split on social media for all to see.
The couple went their separate ways after 13 years of marriage and were declared legally divorced in July 2023. Welsh native Ioan, 50, decided to officially end his marriage to Alice, 55, in March 2021 by filing legal papers at Los Angeles Superior Court. It wasn't long after before he went public with Bianca Wallace.
The actress took at her ex ever since he went public with his lover, even saying he totally "f****d" her over. She blasted the actor for abandoning his family - her and their two children - for a "babe half his age" and that she had been left to "pick up the pieces" of her life after their separation.

The pair share daughters Ella and Elsie. They first met during the filming of 102 Dalmatians, while she was in a relationship with Olivier Widmaier Picasso, a grandson of painter Pablo Picasso.

After they tied the knot in 2007 in Mexico, Ioan was given an "ultimatum" by Alice. He told The Independent: "Alice has been very patient with my procrastinating with my male ways! She did give me somewhat of an ultimatum – a gentle nudge – which was the best thing she could do, really."
Their marriage was plain sailing until cracks slowly started to show, and one year before the announcement, her husband had spoken about them struggling to make things work. The actor, best known for starring in the Fantastic Four movies, admitted it was hard for them to make time for each other.

Despite facing criticism from thousands, Alice was determined to publish her truth on social media about the split. Ioan and Bianca also came out to have their say in the bitter drama, with many painting the mother-of-two as less than innocent. Alice previously vowed to write a tell-all memoir on her break-up, then wrote a first-person piece for the Daily Mail on just how her marriage split destroyed her and made her feel "dead".
The actress revealed her ex-husband promised her he would leave her if she ever gained weight. She ironically tweeted: "I guess he was true to his word this time. Someone mentioned online that Ioan liked slim girls and I agreed. He had, after all, told me several times over the years that he couldn't abide fatties and that he would leave if I gained weight. 'I guess he was true to his word this time,' I tweeted.

After the disintegration of her marriage when Ioan told Alice he didn't love her anymore, she broke down and turned to Twitter.
She explained at the time: "People may accuse me of washing my dirty linen in public but the sad truth is that the internet has been my friend and salvation through these awful months. But, it can be torture, too. And there was no greater torture for me than the day I saw him with his new girlfriend on his Instagram feed earlier this week."
Ioan went on to go Instagram official with Bloodline star Bianca, sharing a snap of them together which he captioned: "Thank you for making me smile again @iambiancawallace". Shortly after Ioan shared the smitten post of himself and Bianca, Alice vented on Twitter and shared how she was previously friends with Ioan's love.

In early 2021, Ioan filed the legal papers to get a divorce from his wife Alice at Los Angeles Superior Court. Their joint statement read: "As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
