The Masked Singer UK's Bubble Tea was unmasked in the latest episode, leaving viewers and the judges stunned.

The character was exposed as Julia Sawalha during their second week on the series, as they lost out to Air Fryer, Owl, Piranha and Eiffel Tower. The judges sent them packing after a final two sing-off, with host Joel Dommett soon clarifying who they were as they removed their mask.

Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan were back on the panel, this week joined by actress and comedian Jennifer Saunders, with panellist Rita Ora missing again. It was a school disco special, as each character took on a classic hit and brought a load more clues to tease viewers with.

But in a surprise reunion, Jennifer was stunned to see her Absolutely Fabulous co-star Julia unmasked on the show, with clues soon making a lot more sense. Asked why she did the show, Julia, the sister of Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha, spilled after her elimination: "I wanted to do something that would really take me out of my comfort zone. I like to do jobs that actually I'm really terrified of because then they're a big challenge. This lived up to that!"

On them failing to guess her, she said: "The panel's guesses were just so hilarious. I couldn't believe they thought I was Hannah Waddingham. I thought Jennifer (Saunders) got pretty close with Bubble (the character from Absolutely Fabulous). I think they did fairly well!"

It comes a week after the judges booted out the third celebrity, as Rat was unmasked as Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas. Speaking about joining The Masked Singer, she said: "The worst part of performing in the costume is the head gets very hot, it feels quite claustrophobic.

“The best thing is that I’ve fallen in love with Rat and actually don’t want to leave him. I want him to be in my house! He’s a character I will hold close to my heart forever. I enjoyed my journey with Rat!"

The week prior it was revealed that Chicken Caesar was Alexander Armstrong. The TV star and comedian is known for the likes of Pointless, Armstrong and Miller and Classic FM. Explaining the slew of clues on the show, it was revealed the BRIT Award was actually the Classic BRIT Awards, which Alexander hosted.

Other clues included: "I'm a great Roman Explorer", which was a nod to presenting the documentary Rome's Invisible City. Elsewhere, "LXX is 70 in Roman numerals, a reference to Alexander's year of birth 1970", "Chicken Caesar's accent was a nod to Alexander being born in the North East" and "history and friend in the city, hinted to starring in Horrible Histories: The Movie with Kim Cattrall".

In week one, Weather unmasked as Dionne Warwick on the ITV series. Music icon Dionne left the panel starstruck as she unveiled herself as the star under the costume.

She then shared her joy at being asked to do the series, but admitted the struggles she faced trying to disguise her voice on the show. Clues included being powerful and dominating, and weathering the storm - as well as references to Blues music.
