Upgrading your mobile can be overwhelming especially as new devices come with an average price tag of £900. And while Samsung's newest Galaxy S24 series is catching many tech shoppers' attention, experts at Uswitch has highlighted a deal on the now older S23.

The unmissable offer backed by Uswitch is from iD Mobile which packs in the 128GB S23 device, unlimited data, and three huge freebies. Anyone who buys the iD Mobile S23 plan will also get a pair of Buds2FE (worth £99) a full 12-month Disney+ subscription, and £100 in cashback - that's £258 in free perks.

You'd pay £27.99 a month for a total of 24 months, plus a small one-off £9 upfront fee, but all-in-all in comes to a total of £680.76, a striking deal for the S23 handset not to mention its included unlimited data, free Buds2FE earphones, £100 in cashback and 12 months of Disney+.

The deal highlighted by Uswitch works out to be £218 cheaper than Samsung's current phone-only price (£899) and shoppers who opt for this deal won't get perks like the unlimited data that's included in iD Mobile price either. One mobile expert from Uswitch has shared why this older S23 handset may be the best to go for over the newer S24 device.

Expert Ru Bhihka said: "With a price tag of up to £1,549 for the Ultra with 1TB of data, the S24 probably won’t appeal to anyone on a budget.

"For budget-conscious consumers, the S24 launch signals a likely price drop in older versions, so the next few weeks will be a good chance to grab an older or refurbished model to start the year with."

Samsung's newest S24 devices launched earlier this week and although they come with a much higher price tag, it hasn't stopped tech experts from admiring their newest features, which are led by its wave of AI updates.

As Bhihka explained: “Overall, the S24’s AI upgrades make it a strong contender for those looking to buy the latest device, and will likely impress current Android users and those with more dated devices. The added appeal of ‘double the storage for free’ with pre-orders will also create added demand for enthusiasts.

“By leaning on new built-in AI features, such as Live Translate, which allows real-time voice and text translation of calls into 13 languages, the Samsung Galaxy S24 will appeal to those interested in travel and international living.

“The Interpreter feature provides a split-screen view of live conversations to allow immediate text translation of what the other person has said, which could be a stand-out feature for those spending time abroad."
