Josie Gibson didn't hold back during an unaired moment of This Morning as she branded a guest a "horrible little man".

The presenter was joined by co-star Dermot O'Leary as they welcomed on the new cast of the rebooted Gladiators. It comes after the show made an epic comeback over the weekend on BBC One that was hosted by Bradley Walsh and his son Barney. During the programme, classic challenges returned including The Eliminator as well as Duel.

Players have to stand on small platforms and try to knock each other off using sticks. Gladiator stars Legend, Viper and Fury had an interview with Josie and Dermot on Tuesday's episode of This Morning and the stars remained in character for the chat - which meant Viper didn't say a word.

After the live interview, the Gladiator stars stayed with Josie and Dermot to give them a behind-the-scenes go at playing Duel. However, Josie appeared to have been caught off guard as she was jabbed by Viper. She exclaimed: "Oh my wrist!" Josie then added: "You horrible little man."

Dermot then had to take over and try to beat the Gladiators. Yet he appeared nervous and begged Fury for some tips before going to duel each other. He gave it a go, but was scolded by Josie for fighting back. She told him: "Dermot! You hit her in the eye there!" to which Dermot replied: "She hit me though!"

While Dermot made it though the game, Josie was still upset about her injury as she quipped: "I think I've broken my wrist." The clip was posted to This Morning's official Instagram account, as TV chef Juliet Sear commented: "Omg @josiegibson85 the viper dude properly smacked ya one I wanted to go and punch his beard off for you!! Horrible little man."

Another added: "Hope he apologised to our Josie." Someone else commented: "@josiegibson85 tell me he apologised after?" A fourth asked: "How’s your wrist @josiegibson85 that looked painful." A fan quipped: "He’s playing a character. He apologised after the cameras went off, right?"

Gladiators was a massive television show in the 1990s, which made household names of the likes of Wolf (Michael Van Wijk), Hunter (James Crossley) as well as Jet (Diane Youdale) and Lightning (Kim Betts). A new set of Gladiators are going up against contestants in the brand new reboot of the show on the BBC.

Speaking about the show's return and what would change and stay the same, host Bradley revealed: "It’s pretty much true to the original with some changes and brought into the modern era. It’s a fantastic spectacle, I was so excited to work on the show. It’s very easy to say, 'it’s fantastic', but it really is. Production have done their best to stick to the original and have run with the ball as hard and as fast as they can, and they’ve done a fantastic job."
