Channel 5's Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun star Graham Boland has died, his family confirmed.

Graham's brother, Adrian Smith said: "I am completely heartbroken to be typing this message to tell you all the devastating news that my baby brother Graham sadly passed away this afternoon. As you can imagine this is the most heartbreaking news not only for myself and our family but also to all that knew and loved him too.

"My baby brother will always in my heart." He's since been honoured on social media, with one person describing Graham as the "figurehead of Benidorm life." Another went on to say: "Not only was he a massive part of Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun and a truly brilliant character on the programme. He was also a really top bloke. Forever on film Graham. Your memory will live on."

While another one of Graham's friends commented: "So sad and shocked to hear the passing of Graham Boland 'Happy Days'. What a lovely guy... a legend in Benidorm. RIP Graham, you will be sadly missed by so many."

"I'm so very sorry. I only know Graham from the TV but he seemed like a lovely man. Sending much love," another wrote. "Graham was a beam of shining light who brought so much calmness and content to everyone's lives. So devastated to hear this news that to know that he was sick. May he rest in peace and keep shining above," someone else gushed.

"Benidorm has lost a real life angel on earth. Graham will never be forgotten - neither will all the good he's done on earth. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends," another social media user wrote.

Graham is best known for appearing on Channel 5 show Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun - a documentary series which catches up with Britons who've moved to Benidorm for sunshine and a low-cost life. Graham moved out of the UK to set up his popular bar Happy Days in the sunshine.

The Benidorm icon was also the former entertainment manager at Camping Villamar and the drive-time DJ at Fresh Radio. Graham last appeared on the Channel 5 show back in April. At the time, he introduced viewers to his new addition to the family - his precious puppy pooch. However, just five months later, Graham announced that he would not be doing anymore filming for the show.

At the time, he said: "Well after 10 years filming Bargain Brits I've finally called it a day... I've loved every minute. But filming Gay Pride Benidorm was the ultimate day... thank you to all that cheered and shouted my name. I'd just like to say thank you to all the film and production team over the years. We did have a ball... I hope you all enjoyed the journey as much as me."
