The Apprentice adviser Claude Littner has delighted fans with apparent commentary of Love Island: All Stars on social media following the dating show's launch this week.

The business executive, 74 - best known for having been one of Lord Sugar's aides on the BBC series between 2015 and 2019 - is no stranger to live tweeting about Love Island. He appears to have resumed the activity for the new spin-off.

It was hoped by some fans that there would be reaction from Claude's account on X, formerly known as Twitter, over the ITV2 show amid its launch. One person wrote in a tweet on Monday night: "It's not the same without Claude."

Claude replied on Tuesday: "Just preparing myself for a Love Island return." There were subsequent tweets from his account about the show, with it teased that "of course" he would be watching it. He also said: "Ready for action!"

"Best news ever! Love Island works so much better with your Twitter commentary," one person reacted. Someone else said about his return: "Yayyy!" Another person tweeted: "As much [as] I enjoy Love Island, it's #ClaudesCommentary that makes it for me and our little gang of tweeters."

Commentary from his account that evening included that islander Molly Smith was "looking very glittery". Another tweet read: "Meaningful conversation [in the villa]. I have missed that! No idea what they are blabbering about."

Seemingly reacting to the use of the word 'like' on the show, which has attracted attention in previous series, he wrote at one point: "Like, like, love, like. Like like. Like like." Another tweet read: "Bl***y adverts... spoiling my enjoyment, like."

Claude also seemed to reference Georgia Steel, who was been spending time with Toby Aromolaran in the villa. A tweet from his account during the episode on Tuesday night read: "Georgia is happy with Toby. Good to know."

Another tweet read: "A lot of breasts are exposed, mostly from the women." He wrote at one point: "I'm keeping my options open. Eggs in basket. Who are you feeling, Defford!" Whilst one tweet from his account recently read: "This is looking like another hour of my life, never to be recovered."

One viewer was even encouraged to "stick with it," after they tweeted that they had "given up" because they felt it was "harder work than normal." He responded: "Stick with it..lots more irrelevant. Vacuous chat ahead".

Someone suggested at one point: "Claude been hacked!" Seemingly teasing in response, a tweet back read: "Obviously!!" And when one person asked if he'd "started watching" Love Island, he replied: "I have started, but I won't finish."

Claude has spoken about watching Love Island in previous years, like having told Radio Times in 2018: "I enjoyed Love Island. It's such a terrible programme and the people are so absurd that it's compelling viewing." And he once tweeted a photo of a personalised water bottle from the show.

Love Island: All Stars continues on ITV2 and ITVX tonight at 9pm. You can catch up on previous episodes now through the streaming platform. The Apprentice returns on BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its new series on February 1 from 9pm.
