It looks like “Golden Balls” David Beckham is a man with the Midas touch, judging by the new accounts for his booming business empire.

One of his enterprises, DB Ventures, paid someone a £10million salary in 2022, but they refuse to say if the big bucks went to Man U legend Becks. The accounts only show the £10m went to the highest-paid director, so it is a choice between Beckham, Jamie Salter and Nick Woodhouse.

A spokesman for Beckham, 48, told the Mirror he would not disclose who the highest-paid director was.

The pay-out, up 384% on the previous year, was five times more than the combined salaries of the other 23 employees of DB Ventures. The firm is a subsidiary of DRJB Holdings Limited, Beckham’s “full-service global brand management operation”. Its turnover doubled to £72m in 2022. Beckham reportedly sold a 55% stake in the firm to Authentic Brands for £200m in 2022.

DRJB paid out £827,499 in dividends in 2022, down from £6.3m the previous year, and made no payments to directors, Beckham, Salter and Woodhouse.

Seven Global, for the David Beckham brands which fall outside DB Ventures, made a £8.6m profit through partnerships with Adidas, Tudor and Safilo. Meanwhile, revenues at Victoria Beckham ’s fashion and beauty brand rose 44% to £58.8m in 2022.
