Shoppers say 'take my money' as Uniqlo makes major update to popular crossbody
The has become something of a fashion phenomenon - if you don’t already own one, you probably know someone who does, and don't have to spend long in the UK to spot someone wearing one slung chicly over their shoulder.
Well, fans of the must-have accessory are in for a treat because Uniqlo has just given the for the New Year.
Since its 2022 debut, Uniqlo's has risen to cult status, having sold out at least seven times in almost two years. And it's safe to say that it maintains its grip on our hearts (and bank balances) with its newest colourways.
Priced under £15, the much-loved Mary Poppins-style bag is now available in , including lemon-yellow, baby-pink, powder-blue, lilac, and ecru. This pastel palette is perfect for injecting some colour into your seasonal wardrobe, and shoppers even set their alarms for the January 15 drop to get their hands on them before they inevitably sell out.
One TikTok user said: “Do I need another Probably not but do I want another Uniqlo bag? Yes!” While another said: “Omg no my bank account.” And it was much of the same on Instagram, too, with fashion fans adding: “It’s what the people want! And “OK JUST TAKE ALL MY MONEY!”

The measures only 28cm by 17cm, with a 10cm depth, but fashion fans have been showing off what fits inside on TikTok by pulling out paperback books and packets of jam tarts, like a magician pulling a rabbit from a hat.
One TikTok user, Jess Elle King said: “You know everyone talks about these Uniqlo bags and how much fits in them? I truly think I’ve outdone myself tonight, so I’m going to show you exactly what I managed to squeeze in here.”
Following a trip to Sainsbury’s to stock up on snacks, Jess began to pull out the entire contents of her bag - and so many products were inside.
Inside her was a mini deodorant, big bag of Hula Hoops, a whole packet of sic jam tarts, a packet of mini rolls, a can of Starbucks double shot espresso, her card holder, medication, Airpods, Vaseline, keys, earplugs, Polo mints and not one, but two lipglosses.
Another video from user @jennifer.grst saw over 1.1million views, with the creator stuffing the bag with a passport, keys, purse, sunglasses, Airpods, a hairclip and a full bottle of water.
Meanwhile, TikTokker Imogen, said: “I’m just about to leave and I have my and I have been putting stuff in my bag for the last hour whenever I thought I might need it tonight.”
Inside the bag was a roll on deodorant, two debit cards, a wallet, FIVE lipsticks, two lip pencils, a mini nail polish, lip balm and, the star of the show, a paperback book.
