A Dancing On Ice contestant has vowed to never do a reality show again after taking part in the competition.

Caprice Bourret appeared on the ITV ice skating show back in 2020 and quit early. The 52-year-old has revealed she found it a "horrible experience". She was initially paired with ice skater Hamish Gaman but after rumours emerged of an alleged fallout, Caprice returned with new professional Oscar Peter.

However, it wasn't enough to keep the supermodel in the competition as she then quit for good. At the time, a representative for the businesswoman said: "It’s true that Caprice is no longer participating in Dancing on Ice. It’s been a hard few months and she’s had to keep silent for contractual reasons."

ITV had to deny claims Caprice was bullied by her partner Hamish during the show. As the latest series kicks off, Caprice has revealed she has left the "horrible experience" in the past. She shared to The Express: "When you do reality shows IE the jungle or Dancing On Ice or Big Brother, you get so sucked into this bubble.

"We all know that I had a really horrible experience but whatever you live and learn. The thing is I met some amazing people that I still talk to, so I'm grateful for that." Caprice has tried her hand at a number of TV ventures including Celebrity Big Brother, The Jump, Come Dine With Me and Britain's Next Top Model over the years.

She declared she was done with reality shows after her Dancing On Ice stint. An ITV spokesperson said at the time: "We take allegations of bullying very seriously but found no evidence on Dancing On Ice and we strongly refute any suggestion to the contrary. We’re very proud of the team, both on and off screen. They produce a fantastic show and we are committed to ensuring that everyone who works on the programme is fully supported."

Head judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean also spoke out on the scandal. The former Olympians said they'd heard rumours backstage that Caprice and Hamish weren't see eye to eye before their split. Chris told The Mirror: "It was information passed on to us. It just sounded like they weren’t getting on.

"Caprice wanted to stay in the competition and that was the only way they could resolve it. So that’s what the producers decided to do.” While Jayne added: "Mostly partnerships do have to get on. When you bring it to the ice, there has to be equal respect and trust. And so you have to make that work. And in partnerships where that doesn’t happen, they don’t last that long in the competitive world.”
