Arsenal have been accused of throwing cash around like it's going out of fashion in recent seasons, with several high-profile additions arriving at the Emirates for huge fees.

The Gunners currently boast the most expensive British player of all-time within their ranks in £105million man Declan Rice, but there have been a fair few other eye-watering sums dished out by Mikel Arteta and co. It is what has helped turn Arsenal from a club fighting for top four to now fighting for league titles.

Last season saw the Gunners lead the table for the overwhelming majority of the league campaign, only to stutter at the business end and were eventually leapfrogged by reigning champions Manchester City. To try and ensure that doesn't happen again, Arteta spent heavily last summer.

With that in mind, Mirror Football - with the help of Transfermarkt - has taken a look at Arsenal's current crop analysing whose value has shot up and whose has declined since making the move to north London. It is important to note that actual valuation depends on several traits, including length of contract, age and current form.

1. Bukayo Saka, £103million

According to Transfermarkt's valuation, the Arsenal academy graduate would return the Gunners a stunning £103m profit if he were to be sold tomorrow. Saka didn't cost the club a penny in transfer fees and has been nothing short of sensational since breaking into the first team in 2019.

2. Declan Rice - £94million

The former West Ham captain was the subject of a summer-long battle between Arsenal and West Ham but eventually opted for the Gunners. Oh, how grateful the Emirates faithful are that he did, given Rice has transformed the Arsenal midfield, particularly in Thomas Partey's lengthy injury absence.

3. Martin Odegaard - £77millon

There are plenty of Arsenal fans out there who firmly believe landing Odegaard's signature from Real Madrid for a fee of £30m is one of the best bits of business the Gunners have done in their recent history. At just 25 years of age, Odegaard dons the armband for the club and leads by example week in, week out - which is probably why he is now valued at more than double his initial fee.

4. Gabriel Martinelli - £73million

A stunning find from the Arsenal scouting department, Martinelli was plucked from footballing obscurity - the Brazilian fourth division to be precise, and has shone for the Gunners ever since. A teenager when he arrived, the Brazil international cost just £6m, fast forward four years and his market value has enjoyed an increase of £67m.

5. William Saliba - £64million

There is a convincing argument to be made that William Saliba, at just 22 years of age, is the best central defender in the Premier League. After three loan spells away from Arsenal without kicking a ball for the club despite his £27m fee, many Gunners fans may have been fearing the worst. Thankfully, he returned, matured and improved to become a mainstay in the starting line-up.

6. Gabriel Jesus - £60million

This figure may be the first shock, given that few Arsenal fans would claim Jesus' time at the club has been an obvious success, yet his market value is £15m more than what the Gunners paid Man City for him in 2022. A sensational talent, but constant injury issues have curtailed his progression at the Emirates.

7. Gabriel Magalhaes - £51million

Like his central defensive partner Saliba, Gabriel arrived for a £27m fee. He has since established himself as one of the club's most reliable performers and one of the league's most underrated stars, there is little wonder his market value is a £24m increase on what Arsenal paid Lille for him back in 2020.

8. Kai Havertz - £47million

Havertz is valued at a fee notably less than what Arsenal handed over to Chelsea for him last summer, though his performances have hardly set the world alight. Bar a brief purple patch, Havertz has for the most part struggled under Arteta so far.

9. Ben White - £47million

While, like Havertz, White's market value is less than what the club paid for him, it is by no means a significant decline. The versatile defender cost Arsenal £50m back in the summer of 2021 and has been a regular ever since, doing stellar jobs at both centre-back and right-back.

10. Oleksandr Zinchenko - £36million

Purchased for £30m from City, Zinchenko's Arsenal career has been a tale of two seasons. His debut campaign was a fantastic one, changing the way the Gunners play from left-back with supreme technical quality, but so far this term has been underwhelming and littered with errors.
