Horrified wife finds husband in bath trying to use glue as ‘constipation cure’
A horrified wife found her husband semi-conscious and “sinking in the bathtub” after he put a tube of glue up his bottom.
Baffled doctors said they believed the man had been trying to cure his constipation when he inserted the cone-shaped pot of glue into his rectum, and he had a history of such behaviour. The 73-year-old man had inserted a plastic container of liquid glue into himself with a string attached so he could get it out again.
He was rushed into hospital in Tokyo after his wife found him suffering from a “disturbance of consciousness,” where medics found the container of glue inside him.
A CT scan showed the unnamed man, who has a history of Parkinson’s disease, had the glue container inside his anus, measuring 35x35x120mm.
The bottle was successfully removed by pulling on the attached thread, and the man was released the following day.
Baby boy has spent his life in hospital as doctors are 'scared' to discharge himThe patient was treated at the Department of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Juntendo University Nerima Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. The attending doctors commented: “When a detailed medical history was taken, he stated that he had a habit of inserting objects into his anus as a remedy for constipation."
An incredibly graphic photograph, which the Mirror has chosen not to publish, was taken during the stomach-churning procedure.
“In conclusion, this is, to our knowledge, a very rare case of an intentional insertion of an RFB (namely, a plastic container of liquid glue) as a remedy for constipation.”
