Hannah Spearritt admits she's "not ready" to perform live on Dancing on Ice.

The S Club 7 star has opened up about the nerve-wracking performance to the Mirror and other press as she explained how she's feeling about her first judged skate with professional skater Andy Buchanan. Hannah was asked if she was ready for the judging panel's critique.

The S Club 7 star will perform in front of a live audience as well as judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo. Hannah revealed: "I'm not ready to see their faces when I skate.

"When we rehearse it, Andy’s always like, ‘And this is the bit we’ll do to present to the judges,’ but I’d rather not see their faces. It makes me nervous." Last year, it was reported that Hannah had missed "several training sessions" while the rest of the celebrities kept up with the busy schedule.

It's claimed the 42-year-old singer fell behind with the training schedule and faced a tough few lessons getting her back on track. A source told The Sun: "[Hannah] has missed a number of rehearsals with Andy and there are fears that she won’t be ready."

The S Club 7 star, who was left heartbroken last year when bandmate and ex-boyfriend Paul Cattermole died aged just 46, opened up about a heartwarming moment she experienced during training which has helped inspire her to push forward.

She continued: "Somebody said something to me a couple of days ago when I was skating, I think it was the medic. She said something so lovely and said, ‘You're inspiring me to skate,’ and it just took my breath away.

"For me, I want to master the basic skills, but then if I do that, if I want to be able to pass it on to my little girls, which would be amazing or just get them interested in skating. That would be an amazing achievement because we're all in the same boat, we start off this journey hanging onto the sides. I've never even thought ice skating would be in my life ever so just to be able to have that skill set would be incredible - to pass that on."

Hannah will be competing against former boxer Ricky Hatton, Coronation Street's Ryan Thomas, Love Island's Amber Davies, Olympian Greg Rutherford, Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire and former EastEnders actor Ricky Norwood.

Comedian Lou Sanders, Radio DJ Adele Roberts, soap icon Claire Sweeney and Emmerdale's Roxy Shahidi will also take to the ice while Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards stepped in after Gogglebox's Stephen Lustig-Webb dropped out due to injury.
