TikTok user, who goes by the handle @epiccfacts, shares a range of fun facts, interesting insights, and hacks, and his videos have garnered a lot of attention.

In one clip posted on the 'facts page', the social media user pointed out the inactive button found on a seatbelt, which may have boggled some people's minds, no matter if you are a driver or passenger. Some may have assumed the button was to keep the straps together, or simply a stylistic element to a seatbelt, rather than having any useful function. But that's not necessarily true.

Speaking in the clip, he revealed: "The little button on your seatbelt is to stop the buckle from going past it. So it will always be in the right spot when you go to buckle it up." This genius revelation proves the button has a clever design, and makes buckling our seatbelts all the more efficient. Who knew? Turns out this revelation has mixed reviews from fellow TikTokers, with some impressed by the finding, while others were already in the know.

One TikToker said: "I thought we all knew about the seat belt", while another said: "Everyone knew the seatbelt one." Someone else shared: "I knew about all of them." But some people didn't know and shared their amazement, saying it "blew their mind". Another person posted: "Not me passing that button so many times".

Another viewer was amazed: "Wow that seatbelt one blew my mind, I would have never thought of that." Someone else commented: "Wow! I never knew!!" However, one TikToker learned about the seatbelt button the hard way. They wrote: "If it falls off you will notice it! Mine did so the buckle was hard to find- always near the floor."
