Your old McDonald's toys could be worth a small fortune selling for £495 on eBay
Not only has McDonald's meal prices increased over the years - but the value of their Happy Meal toys too. On eBay, people can buy old Happy Meal toys - in opened and unopened condition - for up to a whopping £495.
With many toys now being classed as 'collectibles', fast-food lovers could be in for a treat if they have a toy or two in storage. A full set of the chain's 2021 Mr Men toys is currently on sale for £495, while its complete set of 2002 Disney Treasure Planet toys can be bought for £359.
So, if you've been hoarding old Happy Meal toys, it might be time to get them out of storage and see if you can make some cash. Here are a few that are bringing in big bucks - and what to look for.

A set of 10 unopened TY Teenie Beanie Babies are currently on sale on eBay for £290. While the seller has not dated the toys, they claim them to be in "great condition" for collectors.

Their sales description reads: "McDonald's TY Teenie Beanie Babies 10 Happy Meal boxes and 10 toys Never Been Open. Condition is Used. Treasure Planet 2002 - £359.99
Having saved the toys for 22 years, one eBay seller is now parting with their Disney's Treasure Planet toys. The complete set comes with six toys - all in their original packaging. The seller says: "McDonald's Happy Meal toys, complete Treasure Planet set. New condition. All items are sealed in original bags, never been opened. Worldwide shipping on all items."
Mr Men 2021 - £495
To help celebrate its 50th anniversary, McDonald's filled its Happy Meal boxes with Mr Men toys in 2021. Now, the complete collection is being sold on eBay for a whopping £495. All in their original boxes, the toys include characters such as Mr Cool, Mr Happy, Mr Perfect and Mr Messy.
The sales description reads: "McDonald's Happy Meal Toys 2021 - Mr Men. Plush soft toys. Full set of 25. 50th Anniversary. Collectable BNIP. Thanks for looking."
Teddy Bears 1999 - £140
Originally issued in Hong Kong in 1999, a buyer can now get their hands on McDonald's Teddy Bears in its original box. The item has been listed as "rare" and comes with 28 teddy bears wrapped in their original packaging inside a McDonald's branded box.
Pokemon 2019 - £140
While 2019 wasn't long ago, it seems to have been long enough for McDonald's Pokemon toys to gain value online. A complete set of its Pokeball belt disc shooters is currently on sale for £140, with two available and two having already been bought by collectors.

Ronald and Friends 2001 - £149.02
Four "rare" Happy Meal toys from 2001 can be bought now for £149.02. The seller says the colourful toys will "instantly transport you to the golden era of fun and excitement.".
They added: "This offer includes not just one, but all four games from the 2001 Happy Meal Toy series. You'll get to enjoy the complete set, making it a perfect addition to your collection. These toys are not your everyday Happy Meal trinkets.

Job lot - £150
If you want to sell your old Happy Meal toys for profit, it seems you do not necessarily need to own a 'rare' set, as some sellers have listed 'job lots' for £150. One seller has simply listed a "92 McDonald’s Happy Meal toys bundle" having collected toys them throughout the years. All of their toys have been kept in pristine condition in their original packaging.
