Radu Dragusin's agent appears to be already lining up his next move - even though his transfer to Tottenham was only confirmed on Thursday!

The defender arrived in north London from Serie A outfit Genoa for an initial £21.5million, plus add-ons. Dragusin put pen to paper on a six-and-a-half-year deal which will, in theory, keep him at Tottenham until 2030.

But his representative, Florin Manea, was left stunned that his client had chosen Spurs over a move to Bayern Munich. And he is already making clear that he believes a move to Spanish titans Real Madrid is on the cards in the future.

"I was looking at a picture from when we started together at Juve, I was looking at how skinny he was," Manea told Romanian news outlet . "We are only at the beginning of the road, we want them to reach the best clubs in the world.

"We were close, Bayern is among the biggest clubs, but his dream is Real or Barcelona. If he was 23-24 years old and had more experience, maybe he would have decided to go to Bayern, but I also took into account the age, and the competition, I took into account many things.

"In three or four years I see him at Real Madrid."

Considering the fact that Dragusin's contract will still have three-and-a-half years left to run in three years time, the idea that his agent sees the defender at the Santiago Bernabeu then is hardly what manager Ange Postecoglou, or the Spurs support, will want to hear.

However, if we reach that point and Real Madrid are sniffing around the Spurs new boy, then it will be a tell-tale sign that his time in North London has been a success.

Dragusin is the second new face to arrive at Spurs this month, following the loan signing of Timo Werner from Red Bull Leipzig. Given his past Chelsea ties, joining the Blues' London rivals is likely to have burned any last bridges the forward may have had in west London.

The January transfer window has also seen one notable departure from the current crop. Eric Dier has called time on his Spurs stay after just shy of a decade at the club, with the England international joining Bayern Munich - moving to the Allianz Arena after the German giants late bid to snare Dragusin failed.

Dragusin will be aiming to hit the ground running and put in the kind of performances that make the Spurs faithful forget about the questionable comments from his agent so soon into his time at the club.
