Erik ten Hag eyes new striker as Jadon Sancho completes Man Utd exit
Manchester United are set to return to action this weekend when they host Tottenham on Sunday in their first Premier League fixture since the disappointing 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest on December 30.
And with United currently eighth in the table and already out of Europe, Ten Hag is under huge pressure to turn around their fortunes. He has admitted that United could dip into the transfer market this month, with a new striker top of Ten Hag's wishlist.
Rasmus Hojlund has failed to hit the ground running since making a £72million move to Old Trafford over the summer, while the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have also struggled in front of goal. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Manchester United transfer news.
Sancho rejoins Dortmund
Jadon Sancho has completed a loan move to former club Borussia Dortmund, having been frozen out by Ten Hag following a public spat.
Mirror Football understands Dortmund are forking out a £3m loan fee and will pay an additional £3.4m in add-ons if certain performance-based clauses are met. "When I came into the dressing room today, it felt like 'coming home'," Sancho said.
Marcel Sabitzer completes Man Utd transfer after last-minute deadline day dash"I know the club inside and out, I've always been very close with the fans here, and I've never lost contact with those in charge. I can’t wait to see my team-mates again, go out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, prepare goals, score goals and help qualify for the Champions League."

Ajax star eyed
Brian Brobbey is being targeted by United in what would seal a reunion with former boss Ten Hag.
Although United are keen to strengthen their forward line this month, a move for Brobbey is being lined up for the summer unless they can raise significant funds. Arsenal are also interested in the 21-year-old.
Brobbey came through Ajax's academy and made his debut under Ten Hag, before leaving to join RB Leipzig. However, things did not work out in Germany and Brobbey returned to Ajax on loan the following year before the move was made permanent.

Ten Hag slammed over Sancho exit
Red Devils legend Paul Ince has taken aim at Ten Hag for his handling of Sancho following the winger's loan switch to Dortmund.
Ince has criticised Ten Hag for his initial criticism of Sancho's performances in training, which triggered the pair's public falling out, claiming the Dutchman is at fault for things becoming "stupid and messy". Ince told luckyblock.com: "I don’t know exactly what went on behind the scenes, but what I do know is that when this situation happened, I never would have aired it out in public for the fans and media to hear.
"It would have been dealt with in house and never would have got to the press. The fact that it ended up being public and Sancho ended up using his Twitter just made the situation stupid and messy, and it’s not the right way to conduct those types of things."
