Jeremy Vine tracks down lost house keys and rewards homeless man with £20
Jeremy Vine thanked a homeless man and handed over £20 after he was reunited with his house keys.
The broadcaster, who often documents his cycling journeys, revealed he'd lost the keys to his home but didn't realise for three hours. Thankfully, Jeremy, 58, remembered that he had an Apple AirTag on the keys so he was able to pinpoint their exact location and also play a sound on them. Shortly after remembering his keys had an AirTag attached, Jeremy tracked them using his iPad and noticed they appeared to be going in circles around Kings Cross in Central London, so he headed straight there on his bike.
In a video shared on his X profile, Jeremy was told by a man that he had picked the keys up and had them in his pocket for safekeeping. Jeremy penned: "Aaaaah… Having lost my keys, I remembered there was an AirTag on the key ring.
"The tag seemed to be moving in circles around Kings Cross. So after my show at Radio 2, I went looking for the keys. And the result was really… Well, have a look." Jeremy was seen cycling through the streets as he said: "It's somewhere in this square," before asking one passerby if they'd spotted his keys.
Later in the clip, he noticed a group of people sitting in a hut in a park before approaching them and asking: "I don't suppose anyone has found a set of keys have they?" A lady then commented: "Ey, you're off the news ain't you?" A man then said: "Yes, I have," before Jeremy noted he was "so grateful".

"Listen, I'm going to give you some money, I'm going to give you a reward, I'm so grateful. My office is about a mile away, I was circling around, and I could see it was here somewhere," said Jeremy before handing over £20.
The man who had his keys revealed he once found an iPod and called the owner despite having no credit, before adding that he was baffled Jeremy could track the keys down. In a heartwarming moment, the lady with the group acknowledged Jeremy's career and his achievements.
Shortly after being handed his keys, Jeremy wished them all the best before cycling off. This, however, is one of few pleasant cycling experiences for Jeremy who often shares the abuse he faces from drivers on his journeys across London.
