Meghan Markle might well be set for a Hollywood return after her Suits co-star said the industry would be "lucky to have her back".

But what did actor Patrick J Adams really say about Meghan at the Golden Globe Awards and did he give a direct response? After being asked if he'd work with the former working royal ever again, he didn't give a "yes" answer, but what did he really say?

Patrick played character Mike, who was the husband of Meghan's character Rachel. He spoke to reporters after news that Meghan is potentially considering a career restart, getting back into acting and he was directly asked if he'd "team up" with Meghan again.

"I think Megan's a fantastic actor, so we'd be lucky to have her back in the industry. Sure," he told E! But some weren't sure if the response directly answered the question. After being pushed for a proper reaction, he added: "Yes. I'm ready, let's go...

"Mike and Rachel in Seattle," he added. Since Meghan's marriage to Prince Harry, Suits has had a reboot with a fresh set of fans enjoying the legal drama. Speaking of its new wave of fans, Patrick added: "I'm totally astounded that it's found a second life."

"I feel honoured. You know, when you walk away from a show, you think that's it and then you're going to move on to something else. And just to know that a whole new generation of people are finding it and loving it - loving it almost more than they loved it the first time around - [is] incredible," he added, speaking on the show's success.

Meghan was reportedly supposed to be at The Golden Globes for a Suits reunion, but she couldn't make it due to a "previous commitment", an insider claimed. They told Page Six the Duchess of Sussex was supposed to go, but "unfortunately" didn't make it.

It comes after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were brutally mocked by a savage joke about money in front of Hollywood's biggest stars at the Golden Globes. Host Jo Koy poked fun at them during his opening monologue. After wisecracks at the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper, the comedian turned to Harry and Meghan.

He said: "Succession has nine nominations. Just a great series about a rich, white, dysfunctional family, all scheming - oh, wait, that's The Crown. I'm sorry." Taking aim at Harry, he said: "How great was Imelda Staunton in The Crown, wasn't she amazing? Her portrayal of the Queen was so good Prince Harry called her and asked her for money."

However, Koy added: "Like I said, I didn't write all of these! That one wasn't mine!" But he went on to add: "Prince Harry and Meghan will still be paid millions of dollars for doing absolutely nothing - and that's just by Netflix!" After the quip, the camera then panned to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, who appeared to be laughing.
