Tammy Slaton opened up about her dreams of becoming pregnant during a visit to the doctor, but she ended up revealing a worrying health concern.

The 1000-lb Sisters star went to an OB-GYN office to see if she could conceive a child and "make sure everything's healthy". In a clip shared by TLC on Instagram, however, Tammy shocked the doctor with a bombshell about her reproductive health.

The 37-year-old explained how she had previously had an IUD put in, a type of birth control which can last between three to eight years depending on the brand. However, Tammy said she was supposed to have the device removed back in 2016, but still had it seven years later.

Amy Slaton accompanied her sister to the doctor's office. After hearing Tammy's concerning news, she said in a confessional: "Tammy's had that IUD in there for 12 years, I'm like, 'Are you sure it ain't permanently attached now? Did it absorb. Like can they find it?' I think it's got a permanent place of residence. It said, 'B***h, I been here for 12 years, I ain't moving."

Tammy also admitted it was the last time she had been to see a doctor about her contraception. She explained: "I was just really big and it was hard for them to get it out."

The doctor revealed it could be really dangerous for Tammy to keep the IUD inside of her. She explained to the cameras: "What's most concerning to me is if she should get pregnant and an IUD is in place, it can cause premature delivery or even foetal death so if she's been sexually active with an IUD in place that's not effective, we probably ought to try and get that out."

Tammy said there was "a slight chance I might be pregnant now," but when the doctor asked if she was sexually active, the reality star shook her head. Tammy explained how her husband, the late Caleb Willingham, was living in a different state.

She opened up about her sex life in a confessional. Speaking to the cameras, Tammy said: "I know being bigger has disadvantages with sex, but I can do anything if I put my mind to it. I'm handy capable not handy capped."

Tammy was asked why she thought she might be pregnant, to which she explained she was craving unusual things. As an example, she said she was "craving water".

However, her sister Amy wasn't convinced. In a confessional, she said: "B***h, you ain't pregnant you're thirsty. You're just thirsty b***h, go drink some water. It'll be alright." The doctor also said Tammy hadn't been ovulating, meaning she wouldn't have been able to get pregnant.

The doctor explained how Tammy's cycle would likely start up again as she lost weight, meaning she could potentially conceive in the future. She also scheduled Tammy in for an ultrasound and an appointment to remove her IUD.

Fans were confused by how Tammy thought she was pregnant despite being sexually inactive. Taking to the comments, one person said: "Not sexually active, but might be pregnant," with a thinking face emoji.

"At least the dr was kind and didn’t judge," another person wrote. A third questioned: "She just said she's not sexually active? How can she be pregnant?" while someone else added: "I have questions."
