Real Housewives of Cheshire's Tanya Bardsley has addressed her future on the show.

The businesswoman was one of the original cast members on the programme, which started airing in January 2015, and follows the lives of glamourous women across Cheshire's Golden Triangle. But after almost seven years, Tanya decided to leave in 2021 after suffering a breakdown.

Since then, she's continued to make cameo appearances but has now ruled out a full-time return and is instead focusing on herself after being diagnosed with ADHD. Tonight, viewers see the mum-of-four return alongside original Housewife, Ampika Pickston, for Real Housewives of Cheshire: Pride.

Speaking about her return, Tanya, 42, said: "I love going back, to see everyone and Manchester Pride, which I love anyway – I loved it." But the star admits that her return for the two episodes was far less stressful than the infamous Cheshire dinner parties. "I don't like dinner parties," she said before adding: "It was just nice, it was colourful, everything was full of love, I loved every minute of it."

Discussing her step down from the show and only making cameos, Tanya continued: "I had a breakdown and I just had to get rid of everything and build myself back up from scratch. Adding things back in, I always loved Housewives. Mentally, I was in a bad place. So it was lovely, I adore the crew, they're like family." But Tanya and her co-stars including Lauren Simon, Leanne Brown and Magali Gorre initially believed the show would only last for one series.

While Magali has appeared on the Amsterdam version and Lystra Adams has made a cameo on The Real Housewives of Dubai, Tanya has her sights set further afield. "I'd like to get myself on Beverly Hills somehow," she explained. But fans shouldn't expect to see her full-time on the show.

Tanya, who found fame as a model said: "Not at the minute, I'm still doing the fight for ADHD and I've got a lot of other passion projects like my Transform with Tanya Bardsley. I don't want to miss any of my kids and they always want me to watch them, I have too much mum guilt to do that. I moan about them but they are my life and soul."

The star shares her children, Gabriella, Renz, Rocco and Ralphi with her football manager husband Phil, 38. But Phil, who is currently the assistant manager of Macclesfield isn't the only player in his family. Tanya admits that all three of her sons are interested in the sport and the couple split their time between games and training.

But they don't do it alone, Tanya credits both her parents and Phil's dad as well as their "big family" for being on hand to help whenever they need. Although Tanya's life is now very different, having gone completely sober, the self-proclaimed pocket rocket admits that she's still not afraid to voice what's on her mind. "I try not to react, it's not in my makeup, I go from zero to 100," she said. Tanya went on to say: "You see it with Ester (Dee) on the show. Since I've become sober, I've got even less of a tolerance for bulls**t, so she gets it.

"It was so good to have Ampika back, we've had our ups and downs as well in the past but you know, we grow up and life's short and you remember the good times that we've had together. That's the good thing about this show, we fall out and make up and because we've gone on such a long journey that nobody else understands."

The Real Housewives of Cheshire: Pride airs at 9pm on ITVBe and is available to watch on catch-up.
