Abbey Clancy 'couldn't stop crying' when health scare left her legs numb
Abbey Clancy revealed she "couldn't stop crying" when she thought she was suffering from a serious health condition.
The 37-year-old model said she was starting to feel numb from the waist down and went to a Multiple sclerosis specialist to figure out what was going on. MS is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance.
Chatting with her husband Peter Crouch, 42, about her health scare, she explained: "It's when I had these jeans on, they were so tight they would stop the blood where I was sitting down. But googling it, it was MS [Multiple sclerosis]."
Abbey added: "I'd been holding [the worry] in so much that when I got to the doctor, I went hysterical and couldn't stop crying." Thankfully, doctors told her she didn't have multiple sclerosis but was most likely dealing with a mental health condition called health anxiety (hypochondria).

It feels like she takes on everyone's problems, It's a nice thing but it takes its toll." Hypochondria is a type of anxiety disorder that causes people to worry about being ill or getting ill.

It comes after Abbey revealed her husband forgot to buy her Christmas presents last year and went to the pub as she stayed at home cooking alone. The former footballer sunk a few pints as she cooked dinner and the furious model made sure she let everyone know about the nightmare Christmas.
Peter didn't deny it as the pair appeared on Michael McIntyre's Christmas Wheel - and he dared not get it wrong this time. She said: "Last year everyone went to the pub and left me on my own to do all the dinner and everything. It's not every year but it was the year you didn't get me any presents." The audience then rightly booed her husband who had little in the way of defence.
"It is true. I did that thing where you are like 'What do you want for Christmas, oh let's not do presents this year' but he took it literally," she went on. Peter asked: "Did I not get you anything?" before telling poor Abbey that he "didn't believe it" as host Michael looked on stunned.
The couple, who have been married for 13 years, share Sophia, 12, Liberty, eight, Johnny, five and Jack, four, together.
