Love Island's Liberty Poole teases 'awkward' reunion with ex Jake Cornish
Love Island's Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish are about to be reunited three years after their onscreen split in the villa.
The pair had started off strong on series seven of the ITV2 dating show, but the cracks soon began to appear. Towards the end of the series they called it quits during filming, and both of them decided to leave the villa.
It was claimed they had given romance another go outside of the villa but it did not work out. Almost three years on, and the pair are about to come face-to-face with each other again, with them both taking on Love Island: All Stars.
They'll be trapped in the villa with each other, and their co-stars, once more - but how will it go down? Liberty suggested there was no bad blood between her and Jake, as she addressed the possibility of seeing an ex in the villa.
She did say it would be pretty awkward though, so viewers can expect awkward scenes when the show kicks off next week. Liberty said ahead of the launch: "It’s always going to be awkward isn’t it, it’s always going to be weird seeing someone that you’ve been with getting with someone else.

Love Island's Liberty Poole talked of the awkwardness of seeing an ex in the villa ahead of her reunion with former partner Jake Cornish (ITV)"I wish my exes nothing but the best. I'm going to be focused on my own journey so if it was to happen I won’t be worrying about them - so I'll stay focussed on my goal, which is to find love." On how she's changed since doing the show, she said: "I’ve grown so much as a person since I was first on the show, so I’m excited for people to see that.
"I’m a lot more confident in who I am and sure about exactly what I want from a relationship. I just want to have fun and meet a lovely boy." On how she would do things differently this time around, she added: "I’m going to try not to just dive right in, the last time I was with the same person throughout, so I want to make sure that I explore different options and keep them open.
