Katie Price's ex Alex Reid rushed to hospital as he shares worrying update
Katie Price's ex-husband Alex Reid was rushed to the hospital over the weekend with a 'dangerous' condition.
The 48-year-old, who married Katie in 2010 and split up with her two years later, revealed he has a suspected abscess in his throat. He took to social media to explain how he didn't 'have such a great weekend' due to the hospital trip. He posted a selfie showing his arm attached to a drip.
"Not having such a great weekend…. Felt rough went to out of hours gp to be told to go straight to hospital. Looks like I have an abscess in my throat that may need to be syringed," he said. "Didn’t realise how dangerous it was to be left with out treated!! Was literally just going to take pain relief and sleep it off!
"Thank god I saw someone as was told it could have burst which is deadly! Thanking the NHS as always for your amazing services @nhsengland. Waiting to see a doc now to let me know if I will be operated on..."

One fan wrote: "Damn buddy feel for ya, speedy recovery buddy needed," and another commented: "I used to suffer with Quinsy when I was in my late teens, painful injections to drain it I remember got my tonsils out at 20, one of the best things I ever did! Get well soon!"
It comes after Alex said he would love another go at Big Brother when the celebrity version of the ITV2 show returns next year. The media personality, who won Channel 4's 7th and final series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2010, says his time in the famous house was "one of the fondest moments" of his life" and is ready to do it all again 14 years on from being crowned champion to show viewers how much he has changed.
He compares his Big Brother victory to Nigel Farage's recent controversial dalliance with reality TV, with the former Brexit Party leader securing a rumoured £1.5million from ITV in exchange for appearing on this year's series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
"I would love to return to the Big Brother house next year; I think it would be a great experience, and my time in the house was one of the fondest moments of my life," Alex said when discussing the ITV reboot of the iconic reality TV series. "I have three fond moments in my life, the first obviously being the birth of my children, the second being a big fight I was a part of; while I didn’t win, I won in so many other ways, as from that fight, I was trending around the world, and the third was winning Big Brother."
