2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the Tekken series, and it's kicking off this year with a bang. Tekken 8 is just weeks away and it's shaping up to be a strong contender in the fighting game scene. The Tekken 8 roster is bigger than the likes of Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1, with 32 characters arriving at launch.

Tekken 8: release date
The Tekken 8 release date is Friday, January 26, with the game available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Unfortunately, there won't be a last-gen version of Tekken 8 available, so you'll need a current-gen console to join the King of the Iron Fist Tournament this time around
Tekken 8: editions and DLC
There are three editions of Tekken 8 available, with the standard trio of Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate flavours available for players. Here's a list of the extra bonuses available with these editions:

These will give you the ability to at the very least run the game, but Bandai Namco recommends the following specs for playing Tekken 8 on PC:

There's a Tekken 8 demo available right now, so you'll be able to check out how the game runs on your rig without having to buy the game first. According to players on Reddit, the demo works well on the Steam Deck too, so if you want to play some Tekken 8 on the go, it looks like you're in luck.
