Tekken 8 is almost in our hands, with the launch set for later this month on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Here's everything you need to know about Bandai Namco's new beat em' up.

2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the Tekken series, and it's kicking off this year with a bang. Tekken 8 is just weeks away and it's shaping up to be a strong contender in the fighting game scene. The Tekken 8 roster is bigger than the likes of Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1, with 32 characters arriving at launch.

In our Tekken 8 preview, we said that Tekken 8’s improvements to the core fighting and training mode make the series far more aggressive and accessible than ever. Here's everything you need to know about Tekken 8 including the release date.

Tekken 8: release date

The Tekken 8 release date is Friday, January 26, with the game available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Unfortunately, there won't be a last-gen version of Tekken 8 available, so you'll need a current-gen console to join the King of the Iron Fist Tournament this time around

Tekken 8: editions and DLC

There are three editions of Tekken 8 available, with the standard trio of Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate flavours available for players. Here's a list of the extra bonuses available with these editions:

Tekken 8: system requirements

The following system requirements come from the Steam store page for Tekken 8. First off we have the Minimum specs:

These will give you the ability to at the very least run the game, but Bandai Namco recommends the following specs for playing Tekken 8 on PC:

There's a Tekken 8 demo available right now, so you'll be able to check out how the game runs on your rig without having to buy the game first. According to players on Reddit, the demo works well on the Steam Deck too, so if you want to play some Tekken 8 on the go, it looks like you're in luck.
