Staying in Manchester has become a whole lot more desirable in recent years - it's earned a reputation of being trendy, cool, and full of things to do. But one Manchester hotel often leaves people feeling a little cold, and it's not just because the windows won't shut properly.

Sachas Hotel in central Manchester has a perfect location - it sits within walking distance of the Northern Quarter and Piccadilly Gardens and has a plethora of things to do in the local area. And it's incredibly cheap, with prices around £30 per night. But thanks to the review site TripAdvisor, it has quite a bad reputation.

On the website it scores a disappointing two out of five stars, and the reputation has been cemented even further thanks to a YouTuber, 'Walk With Me Tim', who made a video of the hotel, explaining just why it may be infamous.

Tim paid just £55 for his room, and he received an upgrade to a room 'with windows', yet he still expected more than what he got.

In the lift, someone tells him 'this hotel is horrendous' after a crescendo of squeaking from the doors, and then proceeds to say that his room 'stinks' - which isn't high praise.

In his hotel room, he described the bathroom as like 'Del Boy's' due to the outdated décor, and later in the video, when Tim is exploring the rest of the hotel, he noted that the pool has no water in it, describing it as being 'like a horror movie' and he refers to the corridors as a 'maze' and the 'stuff of nightmares'.

He did find some plus points, however, referring to the breakfast as 'kind of okay', and he said his room wasn't 'that bad' in the end.

The Mirror have contacted Britannia Hotels for comment, who own Sachas, but have received no reply yet.
