Carl Woods has left fans concerned after he shared a cryptic post about ‘stress’ following his split from on-off fiancée Katie Price.

The 34-year-old used car salesman has had something of an explosive romance with 45-year-old Katie - having first started dating in June 2020 and becoming engaged soon after. But last year, the couple appeared to split for good - as Katie declared she was single once again on New Year’s Eve.

Now Carl has shared a cryptic post that has left fans reeling that he could be considering trying to win Katie back. Late on Thursday evening, Carl took to social media to share a topless selfie of himself looking contemplative while basking in some complementary lighting.

The reality star wrote alongside the image: “Emotions are energy. Energy can not be destroyed only converted. When emotions cause stress allow the energy to transform." But the update sent fans into a panic - as many assumed he may attempt to rekindle his love with Katie.

One fan was quick to write: "You know you deserve better. I sanity is doing the same thing over and over. Time for change." And another wrote: "Please do not go back! You are so much better than that."

While another fan gave Carl a stern warning, writing: “When emotions cause you stress Carl, it’s time to let go, I know what a narcissistic relationship is like, you go back time and time again, untill one day you suddenly know!! You’re free of this abnormal person, stop being a fool, get a life, a new life away from her.”

Katie herself - who spent New Year with Kerry Katona - was damning off their on-off romance, telling a podcast she’s now reluctant to get married again. She said: “So I haven't really been in a good situation, so for me to get married again, they have to tick the right boxes, or they have to have more to lose than me because I'm just sick of these cling-ons that turn into Mr Price's and then want to be famous and all of this. I'm just sick of it, I just want to meet someone who wants me for me.

“But yeah I would get married, shall we organise it, of course I would bloody get married again, I want a fairytale. Yes, I would get married again and I want the full shebang. I just want it to be right, I never wanted to get divorced and marry again and again.”

Now that Carl is single once more, he could be clear to be a contestant on the upcoming new spin-off of Love Island. The former bombshell was in season two of the hit ITV2 reality romance show - which aired back in 2016.

He had a disastrous time on the show - walking into a glass door upon entry, and offending the female contestants during a speed dating round as he complimented love rivals in front of each other. He was swiftly dumped from the villa.

But now ITV are launching spin-off show Love Island: All Stars which invites former contestants back to the villa for a second stab at love. The rumour mill has been in overdrive since the show was announced - and the show is due to begin in little over a week's time - with fans speculating exactly who will be returning to the villa. Olivia Hawkins, Georgia Steel, Mitch Taylor and Paige Thorne, Ovie Soko and Michael Griffiths have all been named as suspected contestants.
