Taking to Instagram more recently on Wednesday, Emily’s 65-year-old mum Kate - best known for her roles in the likes of Spitting Image and The Couple Next Door - broke her silence after reports Emily and Alistair were related first broke by hilariously suggested she was bored of Dry January. During the first month of the year many people decide to stop drinking booze, hence its nickname. Alongside a photo of a grumpy looking girl holding balloons, Kate quipped: “When can we stop talking about Dry January?”

Emily first announced her on Saturday and shared a photo of herself sporting a bump. She wrote in the caption that accompanied the selfie: "Hello everyone, it's been a little while but I'm back with some news. I'm delighted to share with you all that we're having a baby!"
She continued in the post: "I've never been so happy and utterly terrified at the same time. Please go easy on me. Every day is mixed with thrill, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomiting - a bit like when you've just stepped off of the Oblivion at on a hangover."

She concluded the post on the weekend by telling her followers: "I'm so happy to be writing all of this to you all. You've always stuck by me through the years, do stick around to watch me enter my mum era. Christ. Let's go."
