Ashley, 33, shared little Azaylia with and recently confirmed he was set to be a with another woman who has not yet been named but whom Ashley has known since he was a teenager.
Fitness enthusiast Ashley and 36-year-old Safiyya welcomed Azaylia into the world in August 2020 but were devastated after she was diagnosed with leukaemia just eight weeks later. Ashley and Safiyya split a year after Azaylia’s death in April 2021 but often appear on one another's social media feeds.

Alongside the footage, Ashley penned a lengthy caption in which he expressed his sadness about having to spend another year without Azaylia.
He poignantly wrote on Instagram: “Today marks the start of another new year without you. Another new start still broken by your absence. Another year further from holding you in my arms.”

Ashley added: “I try my best to be happy, positive, uplifting and optimistic. But some days are just not meant to be that way and today was one of those days. I miss you my little champ with all of my broken heart. Azaylia Diamond Cain, you will forever and always be my endless love.”

Ashley and Safiyya welcomed Azaylia into the world in August 2020Confirming in December that he would soon welcome another child, Ashley said that Azaylia was the first to know about the news. The TV star explained that he visited his daughter’s resting place and said doing so allowed him to be positive about becoming a dad once more.
Speaking to about the mother of his son, Ashley said: “She is a really nice person and good to be around. I got a message saying that she needed to speak to me so I went to see her and she told me she was pregnant, I can't put into words how that felt.” However, Ashley admitted it was "painful" for his ex-girlfriend and Azaylia’s mum to find out he was having another child.
Speaking previously to The Mirror about Azaylia, Ashley said his little girl "saved his life".
He told us: "The reason also why I still talk about her passing is because I am so grateful that even though now I have lost her, I was blessed to have those eight months with her, and in that time, she taught me so much. She changed my life and she continually saves my life. I feel like she gave me a chance at redemption and that she is the person who allowed me to be organically and authentically who I am."
