Ed Sheeran's wife 'launches new career' after his 'marriage issues' revelation
Ed Sheeran's wife is reportedly looking to launch a new career venture this year and is currently working out "the finer details of the company".
Cherry Seaborn, who married the Bad Habits singer in 2019, is thought to have already registered the domain names and trademarks she need to kick-start her new career as a businesswoman in 2024.
According to reports, the mum-of-two has taken steps to register the retail brand Babes In Armour with Companies House with documents suggesting Cherry's new venture could sell products including toiletries, lingerie and maternity wear.
Cherry's move follows an eventful few years for herself and her husband Ed, with the couple welcoming two children into the world together but also having to cope with Cherry's health scares and possibly marital problems, according to lyrics featured on Ed's last album.
"Cherry has a career of her own and isn't interested in Ed's fame. Ed loves that she has her own passions," a source has claimed when talking to The Sun about Cherry's new business. "Babes In Armour was an idea she had with a friend, costume designer Jemima Penny and there are lots of possibilities. They have registered the name and are working out the finer details of what their new business will be. It's very exciting."
Ed Sheeran says 'turbulent things' have happened in personal life in rare videoCherry, 31, and her childhood friend and former secondary school classmate Ed, 32, started dating in July 2015, with their engagement announced in January 2018. The happy couple went on to become husband and wife in 2019 and have since welcomed two children into the world together, daughters Jupiter, 15 months, and Lyra, two.
In his latest musical offering, released in September last year, Ed shocked fans when he hinted things perhaps haven't always been so rosy in his marriage. In one song on the award-winning singer's records, Ed even goes as far to hint his wife "may have called time on" their romance at one point. The dad-of-two, 32, also admitted via his lyrics to being "destructive right now" when singing one song centred around an imploding relationship.
Autumn Variations, Ed's sixth studio album release, features a track titled Punchline, which includes the lyrics: "I can’t help but be destructive right now. It’s been weeks since I saw your outline. In my room is a silence so loud. This is what losing hope might sound like."
During the song's telling chorus, Ed sings: "I can’t help it but I love you so. I can’t take this letting go. I still feel like we could work it out or something. All I am is only flesh and bone. Why’s your heart so freezing cold?" In another emotional track on his latest album, Ed sings about a "bumpy road' but stresses during the song that "it is not the end of our lives."
He croons: "This is not the end of our lives, this is just a bump in the ride. I know that it’ll be alright." The track The Day I Was Born, also on the album, sees Ed sing the lyrics: "I broke apart from my lover a couple months ago, if they were here then I guess I wouldn’t be alone."
It's never been revealed if Ed is singing about his own lived experiences on his last album. The solo artist often works with fellow songwriters when creating new material, including a longstanding professional relationship with Friends actress Courtney Cox's partner, Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid.
