Chloe Madeley has opened up about her split from husband James Haskell, admitting that she would have broken down completely if it wasn't for the support of her famous parents, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.

Chloe and James, who are parents to daughter Bodhi, 16 months, announced in October that they had “mutually decided to separate” after almost 10 years together, and five years of marriage. However, since the split, fans have been left confused over their relationship status, with many speculating Chloe and former rugby player James had reunited.

In a new interview, proud mum-of-one Chloe has now revealed that she's happier than ever following her split with James and the pair have no plans to get back together as she looks ahead to a very different future to the one she had forseen. Although Chloe, 36, has found a new sense of self following their split, after they separated, she confessed that she constantly felt 'awful'.

Thankfully, Chloe had the unwavering support of her mum and dad. Speaking to OK! magazine, Chloe said she "cried all day" when her statement announcing her separation from James was released. She said that her parents - best known for having hosted This Morning together - didn't leave her side.

"The day that the statement came out, James had Bodhi and I went round to my parent's house and I just sat and cried all day. They just gave me massive hugs and didn't leave my side," Chloe revealed. "My mum and dad's title line is, 'As long as you're happy, we support you.' So they're fine." Chloe continued: "Everyone is very adult about it. No one has any interest in any family drama. I'm so grateful to have parents like that."

Despite speculation from fans that they may have rekindle their romance, Chloe, 36, has now insisted that it feels 'awful' when others assume that her and James are on and off again. After their shock split, the mum-of-one has admitted that she's never felt stronger and is lapping up her new life, but she's not ready yet to go in search for love again.

For now, the former couple has found a routine that works for them. They've arranged to co-parent their one-year-old daughter, Bodhi. Chloe emphasised that providing Bodhi a strong family structure and maintaining normalcy is crucial, which is why she and James share parenting responsibilities.

Former couple Chloe and James issued separate statements, though they were similar to each other. The statement that was released by Chloe to her followers read: "James and I mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023.

"We did not want to release a statement at all, certainly not while the television show was airing, but the constant press speculation about our marriage has forced our hand. Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, as it is private and we have a daughter to co-parent, whom we will love and protect at all costs."
