There will be a lot of scrubbing at baking trays over the coming weeks but one mum recently discovered an affordable trick that will mean you won't have to bin all your baking trays after the holidays are over.

In the lead-up to Christmas cleaning hacks have geared up, and you will more than likely be overwhelmed with which trick to try. However, if you are looking for a trick to make your baking tray sparkly then this is the one for you.

In recent tricks, one mum recently taught us how to get stains out of our white shirts, while another showed us an easy way to leave your oven door glimmering with a £2.50 product from Aldi.

If you don't want to be scrubbing baking trays for the entire Christmas break, you need to follow this tip from the Hinch Army Cleaning Tips Facebook group, all you will need is a 2p coin. The group is dedicated to cleaning wizard Mrs Hinch and it's made up of fans of her who love her cleaning tips but who also are well-versed in cleaning themselves.

Sharing to the group, Louise Wright posted before and after photos to prove the 2p hack works wonders. She wrote: "Don't bin baking trays. I spend a fortune on baking trays because I buy the cheaper range and they don't last long being marked by tough cooking stains. But I tried the 2p trick going about and it worked."

Louise gave step-by-step instructions on the process, she said: "Rub the baking tray with the 2p and then wash as you would with daily dishes. It works and takes away the burnt marks left from baking/cooking. No more binning and replacing."

The post was so well received, that hundreds of people liked and commented on the post, praising Louise and thanking her for her miracle trick which is cheap and will be saving a lot of people a lot of money. One person replied: "Fabulous, thank you." Another said: "OMG the money I've wasted throwing them away."

One person eager to try the tip straight away said: "Will give this a go now. Thanks for sharing." A third branded it a "game-changer".

Someone else commented to say that the 2p trick also works on removing limescale from the end of taps - and we bet that's not all it's useful for.
