Rebekah Vardy back on her horse after sparking fury with Boxing Day 'trail hunt'

Rebekah Vardy has once again shared photos of her horse riding on social media, just days after infuriating a number of followers with a number of pics of her trail hunting during a Boxing Day tradition.

The 41-year-old wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, was defiant in sharing more pics of her with her horse, declaring "I love him!" The WAG posted the selfie with her dressed in traditional riding gear, looking resplendent in a white blouse and black coat. Previously she had posted a video and pics from Boxing Day, where she tried a new horse for the trail hunt, which mimics fox hunting without an animal being hurt or killed in the process.

There were many among her followers who were disgusted though, as they slammed Rebekah for taking part in what they called a "smokescreen" for actual hunting, which had been banned in England and Wales with the introduction of Hunting Act 2004. She was quick to defend her day out in the countryside, writing in a caption to the gallery of photos that "no animals were hurt in the process."

Captioning her post on Instagram at the time. Rebekah wrote: "Fox Hunting - no animals were hurt. Great few days out on fun rides and trail hunts testing out a new horse Great turn out and even better port and mulled wine at our stop off at Durham Ox pub. NO animals were hurt in the process, just sore heads."

It had been reported that there had been a furious backlash to Becky's posts but comments have since been disabled.

Rebekah might be leaving her horses behind for a few weeks in 2024, if ITV bosses get their way, as she has been tipped to be heading into the Celebrity Big Brother house when the show returns for the first time since 2018. After the success of the civilian show earlier this year, there are plans to revive the celebrity version and producers would dearly love Rebekah in the house to hopefully spill some beans on the Wagatha Christie court case against Coleen Rooney.

A source told The Sun: "Rebekah is the show's No1 target, there's no getting away from it. Bosses know she'll be perfect fodder for the show and that she won't hold back on saying what she thinks.

"They also hope she won't be slow coming forward on saying how she feels about Coleen and her husband Wayne. She will be TV gold!" Meanwhile, a Big Brother spokesperson told the Mirror: "Any names suggested for Celebrity Big Brother are speculation."
