Helen Flanagan suffered a holiday nightmare on her first day in Bali with her three kids.

The former Coronation Street actress jetted off to the Indonesian island on Wednesday with Matilda, Delilah and Charlie after they were apart for the first time on Christmas Day. Helen shares her three children with ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, and she shared her upset over this year’s co-parenting arrangement, as it was revealed the Bristol Rovers footballer would be with their kids over Christmas.

After an emotional reunion with her beloved children, Helen and a close pal opted to fly to Bali to ring in the New Year, but the former I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star has had a rocky start to her luxury holiday. After a long 16-hour flight with three young children, Helen revealed they had finally arrived at their hotel, only to find she had picked up the wrong luggage.

Posting a series of snaps on her Instagram Story, Helen confessed to the embarrassing blunder, and told her followers she had collected her white suitcase from the airport fully believing that it was hers. However, after she arrived at the hotel and unpacked she realised the terrible error. The stressed out mum was then forced to head straight back to the airport to return it with her kids in tow.

“Also not the best start to the holiday I took the wrong suitcase back to the hotel,” she wrote. “But the suitcase I took had a mobile so gave it back to the guy who was super nice about it, felt so bad. And managed to get mine back at the airport.”

She also posted snaps of her children posing in the hotel, and revealed she was inspired to visit Bali after watching the Julia Roberts romantic comedy Eat Pray Love. However, she confessed she “wasn’t feeling myself” but was “grateful” to be spending time with her children after seven days apart over the festive break.

Helen has candidly shared her feelings of loneliness with her followers over the Christmas period, as she revealed she wasn’t in the mood to celebrate while apart from her kids. The actress spent seven days without them, and confessed she felt “weird without the kids” this year, but vowed to have a different experience in 2024. “Wasn’t really feeling Christmas this year, felt weird without the kids but next year I’ll be festive,” she wrote, as she shared snaps from the last week.

Helen shared details of co-parenting at Christmas in a recent interview with Closer magazine, as she said the kids would be spending Christmas Day with dad Scott and his mother. “I won't have them for about four days. It will actually be the first Christmas that I don't have my children,” she sadly shared.
