Amy Childs' baby son rushed back to hospital days after struggling to breathe
The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs' son was rushed to A&E again after struggling to breathe.
The reality TV favourite's baby boy Billy returned to hospital just days after he was taken in following a medical emergency. Just last week Amy shared how her son was battling to breathe and was taken to A&E where he was diagnosed with tonsillitis. However, things took a turn again for Amy and her family as they ended up back in hospital.
Amy, who welcomed Billy and his twin sister Amelia in April this year, said he "couldn't stop coughing" and suffered from a "high temperature" on Christmas Day. The family were looking forward to celebrating Billy and Amelia's first Christmas, but ended up spending it in the hospital.
The mum-of-four took to her social media to explain what happened alongside a snap with her twins. Amy wrote: "Wow what a Christmas we had this year to say it was stressful and tough would be an understatement we ended up in A&E with baby Billy Christmas Day.. he couldn’t stop coughing, high temperature, wasn’t taking his milk, we was all so worried and just wanted him better, so many messages why I haven’t been on my Instagram, and thank you for all your messages!
"It’s been a stressful Christmas this year BUT Roll on 2024. How was your Christmas everyone!?" She then took to her Instagram Stories where she added: "Thank you for your kind messages. Baby Billy is getting there." Amy also posted an adorable snap of Billy in his cot and said: "Baby Billy is finally on the mend! Thank you all for your lovely messages."
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingThe 33-year-old previously explained she was "so worried" about Billy as he was rushed to A&E. She explained: "Bill's coughing got worse and was struggling to breathe. As a mum I was so worried as when he was a few minutes old when he was born he got taken away and put in the NICU unit for days as he was struggling to breathe. Last night we got told after eight hours by the doctors that he has tonsilitis.
"He is OK this morning just still worrying about his breathing and coughing. Just lots of cuddles with mummy and daddy this morning. My darling Billy." She added how she and dad Billy Delbosq "100 per cent need some sleep" after the late night emergency.
Amy, who is also a proud mum to Polly, five and Ritchie, four, had to undergo an emergency C-section in order to welcome her twins into the world. The former TOWIE star had a birth plan but due to baby Billy suffering a prolapsed cord, things didn't go to plan. "It’s really rare. The midwife was amazing, she knew the cord was there," Amy recalled.
"Afterwards, he was in the neonatal unit, so my Bill put me in a wheelchair to go down to the other ward to feed him – he had all wires around him." She had to take it in turns with her partner to see baby Billy in the unit - admitting it was "really sad" at the time. A month later she explained how everyone is "fine" and declaring she is "very much a positive person."
