Heartbreaking tributes to 'amazing' mum killed in Christmas Eve horror smash
The heartbroken family of a 30-year-old woman killed in a crash on Christmas Eve have paid tribute to their "amazing" mum, wife, daughter, sister and aunty.
South Wales Police continues to investigate the collision, which occurred on the B4290 in Llandarcy at approximately 3.45am on Sunday, December 24, which killed Kathryn Hughes from Neath. In a tribute, shared via South Wales Police, Ms Hughes' family said: "Kathryn was an amazing mum, wife, daughter, sister and aunty. She was loved by everyone. As a family we are truly heartbroken. Kathryn will be missed by all who knew her.
"Kathryn had an extremely kind soul and would always put other people before herself. She had a love of Disney, animals and theme parks but was never happier than when she was spending time with her family. We also wish to extend our gratitude and warm wishes to the members of the public who raised the alarm, the emergency services who responded to the location of the accident and the staff at Morriston Hospital who facilitated us visiting her."
South Wales Police is appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have seen a grey coloured Toyota C-HR being driven in the vicinity of Llandarcy and the B4290 between 3.45am and 4am on Sunday, December 24 to contact officers.
