Harry and Meghan's new Christmas traditions - idyllic holiday to tree decorating
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been practising their new Christmas traditions for the last three years since leaving the Royal Family.
The couple left the UK in 2020 and fled to the US, specifically Montecito, California, where they've settled down with their two kids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Since they haven't returned to the UK for Christmas since 2020, the couple have created their own Christmas traditions that they appear to practise each year.
Harry's hilarious gift
Harry gave us an insight to his Christmas celebrations in his explosive tell-all Spare, where he recalled roaring with laughter at Meghan's unique royal-inspired Christmas present. Harry spoke about his cosy Christmas Eve with his wife and Archie, before the birth of Lilibet.

He then spoke about one of the presents he unwrapped when he recalled: "One present was a little Christmas ornament of… the Queen! I roared. What the—? Meg had spotted it in a local store and thought I might like it."
Continuing to reminisce over the moment, Harry went on: "I held it to the light. It was Granny’s face to a T. I hung it on an eye-level branch. It made me happy to see her there."
Secret pre-Christmas trip
The couple jetted off to Costa RicaThis year, the Sussexes reportedly made a private visit to Costa Rica before Christmas as part of their traditions and were said to have arrived on December 14 and left on December 21. Harry and Meghan jetted out to the celebrity hotspot destination to explore the culture and heritage according to local reports by CRHoy.
Harry and Meghan join a long list of celebrities to vacation there, including superstar Shakira and actor Kevin Hart, who reportedly made recent visits to basque in the sun-kissed beaches. The island has been praised for ensuring the utmost privacy of its guests.
Tree decorating and binge-watching
Meghan also spoke about her love for tree decorating over the Christmas period. She told E! News at Variety ‘s Power of Women event in November: “I love trimming and decorating the tree with my children."

They also indulge in binge-watching TV, hosting dinner parties and "just kicking back," the insider told US Weekly.
