A former Britain's Got Talent contestant has been arrested over allegedly sending sexual messages online to a 14-year-old boy.

Shaun Johnson auditioned for a series of the popular television show in 2011 where he appeared in front of the judges as dance act DJ Crazy.

Video footage has emerged on social media of him appearing to be stopped by members of the public over allegedly sexual communications with an underage boy.

He was in the Great Haywood area of Staffordshire when he was interrogated by the group in the street over what he had been allegedly doing with a 14-year-old boy.

The people speaking to him in the footage claimed that he had arranged to meet the boy at the location and that they had access to his alleged messages.
