He has delayed moving back to the UK for 12 months, but Ozzy Osbourne is finally giving into his wife’s wishes in the next few days.

Ozzy has agreed to return to his homeland on wife Sharon’s request, with a major rule for the move out of Los Angeles to his Buckinghamshire mansion.

The rock idol was insistent he would only give up his Los Angeles life with the guarantee his pet dogs would join him.

The stars were meant to get back to their roots in December 2021 after vowing to quit LA because of taxes. However Ozzy’s medical woes and being upset at leaving friends and his dogs kept delaying the process.

But one family friend worries that the stress of leaving the "sunshine and his friends" may prove too tough for the ex Black Sabbath singer.

A Los Angeles associate of Ozzy revealed: “Ozzy should have been in the UK last January after Sharon said they would be walking away from the US.

"It has been a whole year of Ozzy dealing with a mix of issues from needing more medical treatments to loving his social circle in LA. "He also cherishes his time with his grandchildren and having daughter Kelly welcome her first child.

"But Sharon has pushed for them to relocate back to Welders (their Hertfordshire place). They have been refurbishing the country house and adding a lift for Ozzy to move around easier with his back issues.

"But while all that has played out, he feels the most important factor in going back is his dogs. He told Sharon that he was adamant that the dogs must go with them. It was a total deal breaker. So they have planned out all their travel so that Ozzy gets his whole family back together."

The Osbournes are scheduled to finish filming on their BBC reality show Home To Roost on their return. However some of Ozzy’s close friends and even family members are unsure how long the singer can stay away from Los Angeles.

"Ozzy is going to make a go of it back home, but he has been openly admitting that it will be hard for him to be away from the place he has loved for many years. He says that when the reality hits Sharon being away from her grandkids she will want to get back.

"Some are saying they may not even last four months without changing their mind. It is quite a tricky time for the couple. really with the stress of a major move, being away from their kids and grandchildren and without their pals."

Rock wildman Ozzy plans to fight back from his health woes to perform live again, his son Jack just insisted. But Jack admits Ozzy will never do any tours again after he was spotted in a wheelchair in LA earlier this month.

Jack, 38, said: "I don’t think he’ll tour again. But he’s gunning to do one-off shows like festivals, gigs, things like that.

"He’s not done yet!", he said to The Messenger. Ozzy has hit setbacks for the last few years in his bid to be up on stage for over an hour singing his iconic hits.

“I’ve had all the surgery now, thank god. I’m feeling okay – it was just dragging on. I thought I’d be back on my feet months ago, I just couldn’t get used to this mode of living, constantly having something wrong. I can’t walk properly yet, but I’m not in any pain any more and the surgery on my spine went great."

He feels music "is a key factor" keeping his spirits high.

The singer revealed that he was originally quitting LA in 2022 as "the tax is getting too much". He doubled down on how keeping his income is important.: "If they do the taxes better then I may come back.”

But Ozzy and Sharon never left LA in 2023 and now plan the move in the next few weeks.
