Kate Middleton surprises childcare workers for special Christmas tea party
Kate Middleton surprised three childcare workers and the children they helped with a Christmas Tea Party in London.
The Princess of Wales, 41, praised the hardworking adults who have all made a phenomenal contribution to the childcare sector. Her special appearance is set to air on Sunday as part of the 'Together at Christmas' Carol Service.
The mum-of-three paid a visit and heard how the trio are supporting young people through positive mentorship. Kate also met the five children who had benefited from the workers' help.
Kate playfully opened the side door of the venue as she interrupted the mentors and mentees reunion and said: "Sorry to disturb the party, hope you don't mind!" Pictures of the sweet encounter show Brenda, who is a retired mental health nurse, holding onto Kate's hands. Brenda, from Sussex, volunteers in schools.

Kate spoke to children about their love for music (KENSINGTON PALACE)Kate told the brothers how her children also enjoy music and shared that Prince George likes the guitar, Princess Charlotte enjoys singing and Prince Louis loves drums. Kate ended the lovely conversation by gifting them presents.
She also spoke to kids football coach, Russell, who helped a boy boost his confidence to play football, reports Daily Mail. Russell, from Manchester, described the visit and said: "It was just breathtaking. She took the air out of the room."
Kate stunned in a festive red cardigan which featured an angelic white collar from her adored brand Miu Miu. This year, the service shines a light on the importance of early childhood. Kate aims to praise those who are making a positive contribution to the lives of children as she continues to champion the childcare sector.
